Lion King Rock

The Lion King Rock stands on the eastern slope of the Lovers' Valley on Fragrant Hill. It can be reached by a path from the ridge of the Cross Ridge. The rock is a prominent, free-standing body of rock. It can be seen from a great distance and is highly recognizable. The northern slope of Lion King Rock is several feet high, with a rugged wall and a steep bird-path to climb, and women and children often leap up onto it. At the summit is a huge boulder which, when viewed from the side, looks like the head of a stone lion, hence the name. The Lion King Rock, near to the Lover's Valley, and far from to the Black Stone Secret of Vietnam.
